JOHN BOSTOCK
John is a successful business professional who has held key sales, marketing and general management roles in American Express, Diners Club and Thomas Cook including European Vice President for the American Express corporate card division.
A keen sailor, John has progressed to become a commercially endorsed yachtmaster. As European Managing Director, John handles all aspects of SailTime® in Europe, UK and Ireland and is passionate about delivering value to customers and providing easy ways for people to get out onto the water.
Phil Lowe, Business Development Director - SailTime Europe
PHIL LOWE
Phil Lowe led software companies serving the global newspaper sector for 18 years, finally as head of £35m-revenue market-leader AMC. During those years he successfully started up, grew and exited his own businesses: Trurofield (1991), Matrix Publishing Systems (1999), and Media Command (2002).
Since 2004, he has raised funds for and launched start-up companies in the online sector servicing recruitment, insurance, media and general corporate industries.
In addition to the time spent with SailTime, he serves as Chairman of online contractor recruitment platform people4business, as non-Executive Director of online data storage provider MyGlobalSafe; as Strategic Advisor to Brazilian media group Associados, and as CEO of MediaSecure advising several international software businesses on their merger, acquisition and exit strategies.
In his spare time, Phil has been studying for the Institute of Directors’ exams which, if successful, will ultimately lead to him qualifying as a Chartered Director. He passed the Certificate in Company Direction in May 2009 and the Diploma in Company Direction in November 2009.
Simon Brooker, Finance Director - SailTime Europe
SIMON BROOKER
Simon Brooker is a partner at accountancy firm BDO advising private and small and mid cap listed businesses. He is based in Reading and leads the Technology Media and Telecoms practise in the Thames Valley. He spent much of his earlier career at Ernst and Young, 7 years as a partner and has also been managing Partner at a Top 20 practise.
Simon has been a Non Executive Director at the Institute of Directors since 2001 and is Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
